Note: Revealing details for the latest installment of this adventure follow below.
The Warrior Group Revealed
The latest chapter finished on a huge suspense moment and revealed the first table of adventurers who will split off from the central cast to begin their own adventure, apart from the other two tables.
The Soldiers table includes the determined fighter (portrayed by the voice actor), the agile character (Laura Bailey), the fierce warrior (the cast member), Wicander Halovar (the player), and Kattigan (the actor).
Dividing the Cast
Given 13 cast members, it was clear from the start that having everyone at a single group would be impossible.
This explains, the first four episodes of this story serve as an Overture, intertwining the individual narratives before branching into three distinct groups: Warriors, Strategists, and Explorers.
The Nature of the Warrior Group
Per the DM, the warrior group is for players who enjoy a traditionally charged fight-heavy gameplay experience where diplomatic options are few and far between.
Upon first impression, characters like the reluctant priest Wicander might appear unsuited, but the developments of the latest installment show why these specific adventurers are ideally matched for the warrior group.
Reasons to Leave
To begin with, the group knows exactly where to head next after a violent initial meeting with the enemy group.
Casimir of the deceased character—whose passing initiated the narrative’s action—used The Crow Keepers for his personal gain, breaking into Thjazi’s hideout, attacking the rogue, and taking all the enchanted items to dispose of.
Casimir then cleared his liabilities and fled to a secure base in Gormalay, Timmony, beyond the urban center, with Teor’s brother hot on his heels.
Character Drivers
Secondly, each member has a individual motive to leave the city the metropolitan area:
- The rogue, as the companion and trusted friend, desires revenge.
- The knowledgeable figure knows the northern area and warns that it is a dangerous place.
- Tyranny and Wicander, having resisted his family’s wishes to kill the target and instead rescued him, have no safe haven.
- Yet, their position as key figures in the influential clan could assist the team reach places they typically wouldn’t be able to.
- Moreover, The grateful character swore a unbreakable promise to Wicander for his deliverance and will now follow him wherever.
Fugitives
In addition, all of them are sought by the authorities that rule Dol-Makjar for a multiple motives, making staying in the city too risky:
- The agile adventurer and The character are recognized lawbreakers.
- The warrior and The cleric turned against House Halovar and the army of fiends they are aligned with.
- The fighter is wanted dead by House Halovar.
This leaves them no alternative but to head to the remote area in pursuit of Casimir.
